L'esprit de L'escalier

1.
What is the reason I'm feeling this way? Did I make a wrong turn or forget what to say? Happy I'm here, but not easy to stay. Why can't it all be revealed? Are there anymore lies to conceal? Come back (I want this taste gone from my mouth) Come back (This aftertaste gone from tongue) I want the cracks to close up And the pain to be gone

The signal shot out in the cloudy night Slid down through the house on my secret slide Got my outfit on and I'm set to fight crime If only my sidekick would get here on time He's the one you root for The one who makes you weep, now... [Chorus] Bring my boy wonder back I'm over my head and I'm under attack Bring my boy wonder back Oh, what can I say? What can I do, When I just stand here naked without you? Upstaging the hero is always his job He looks better in tights and is less of a slob Can't look good without him, It's true I admit it I wish he'd get here so we can fuckin' kick it! [Chorus] Let me loose! They've got me locked up in the bin. Let me loose! This straightjacket's creasing my skin. And I can't see behind me I can't see into the light I can't see beside me I can't go without a fight Come and save me Come and save me I can't go on anymore. No... [Chorus] I'm naked without you...

about

Brooklyn-based Cellardoor's first LP was born from a turbulent period in singer/songwriter Andrew Edwards' life. An often fun, often melancholy outing, fusing Edwards' piano-driven songs with warm electronics and his signature voice. Recorded with one microphone, no sequenced performances, and a few pints of Jack Daniels in a dark Brooklyn bedroom in 2004. Featuring the popular "Boy Wonder" and "Standing (In Opposition To The Laws of Physics)".
